The last time you used eDivvy there's no doubt you have got an email about an event where the URL  looks something like this:

http://www.edivvy.com/invite/?edivvy=ZXZlbnRfaWQ9MjA4NCZwYXJ0aWNpcGFudF9lbWFpbD1sb29tdHJvbmljQGdtYWlsLmNvbQ%3D%3D&groupgift=edivvy

Thanks to our new URL friendliness technology, the days of URLs like this are behind us, friends.  We have now made our urls more friendly where every event has something an address like: http://www.edivvy.com/event/364F90A  Wow!  eDivvy, now with less URL-related eye strain!  We hope URLoving this new change to our site!

Until next time

Over the past couple of days, we have launched some new features to make our site more social and to help our pals pay easier.

Our pals can now pay easier!
That's right, we have officially launched PayPal as a payment option for all events. When you go to an event, you click contribute and you will see an option to pay via normal Credit Card or pay via PayPal.  We are working to provide more payment options in the near future.  If you have a payment option you'd like to see just post it as a comment to this blog!

Share Tab
Every event now has an awesome new share tab.

You can now easily share your event via twitter, myspace or facebook in just a few clicks.  If you use another social network or site that you want to share your event on we offer the option for you to copy the link or you can also use our new eDivvy widget.  With the widget, you can easily put your event on your website or blog to show your friends and family the progress of your event.  You can even customize the widgets colors to match the colors of your website or blog.  If you want anyone to be able to share your event - make sure you check the "Allow participants to invite others" box when setting up your event.  Otherwise, only you will be able to see this share tab:

That's it for now, keep checking back here for more features soon.

And how cool is it that we don't have to go through the registration process to contribute?! Contribution just got easier!
